Study links loneliness with greater dementia risk

In the largest study of its kind, researchers at the Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine have shown a link between loneliness and dementia. The findings are a result of a study that analyzed data from more than 600,000 people from around the world.Â
The research suggests that experiencing feelings of loneliness can increase the risk of developing dementia by 31 percent. The research has been published in “Nature Mental Health.â€
