We've all had times when life seems a bit overwhelming, leaving us uncertain of our next step. While the world is full of self-help magazines and numerous opinions about how to fix life's problems, Strickland's latest release, “All Right,” hit the airwaves on Friday, Oct. 15, and it's a great reminder that only Jesus sees and understands what we go through.
“This song was an absolute privilege to write and record,” said Strickland. “As an ER Nurse Practitioner, I often encounter the trials and hardships of others, and one particular morning I woke up with an old hymn, "Just a Little Talk With Jesus," resounding in my head. As I went about my morning routine, those lyrics pricked my heart and I started singing my own little melody to the tune. The Lord had given me a beautiful reminder of how easy it is to get bogged down in the weight of pain, grief, suffering and loss. Yet, it's just as easy to talk with Him about it. He's always there, and He already knows. With an intentional lyric and melody, I wanted to give people something to hear that brings back the simplicity of knowing Jesus, walking with him day-by-day, moment by moment. James 4:8 reads, "Come near to God and He will come near to you" and Jesus-- He makes ALL RIGHT.”
Strickland is available to sing and minister at youth events, women's ministries and other church events. She can bring a band or do solo acoustic sets. Visit her website, tarastrickland
