On Saturday, April 30, Sheriff David Harper and the Madison County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) held their first Teen Driver Challenge and had their first success in doing so. Several participants were included in-classroom instruction regarding driving skills and the importance of safety on the road, followed by maintenance lessons. The teens were then involved in challenge course driving and practicing skills on the road with an instructor. Each participant received a certificate of completion presented by Capt. Jarrod Lauth. The MCSO will be holding another Teen Driver Challenge in the near future, if you have any questions on applications, please contact Capt. Lauth, at (850) 973-4151, or visit the MCSO website at madisonflsheriff.org.
