Each food mentioned has ingredients to help promote the sleep people need. You will find that some of these foods have some of the ingredients which people are lacking in their every day diet.

3. Greek Yogurt- This is high in protein and low in sugar and filled with probiotics. The protein will help keep you full at night and probiotics can improve sleep quality.
4. Brown Rice- Is great for sleep due to the fact that it contains GABA (Gamma-amino butyric acid). This calms the nervous system and is loaded with tryptophan, an amino acid that helps put the brain in a relaxed state.
5. Cherries- Cherries are very rich in melatonin which is very critical for a healthy sleep-wake cycle.
6. Chickpeas- This food is a low glycemic index food. That means that the combination of fiber and protein helps slow down the carb absorption and maintains healthy blood sugar levels.
