The bound histories of North Florida and South Carolina

Hailey Heseltine news@greenepublishing.com The history of any town is always tied to its people, and there are many common threads to be found among the people of North Florida towns.  One of those common threads is that many of the settlers from the territorial period and early statehood who lived in North Florida towns such as Monticello, Madison, Perry, Quincy, etc., migrated from South Carolina, more specifically, Charleston, S.C. Birth records indicate that, in 1850, 4,439 current
