Trying new things and allowing change in your life is arguably one of the hardest things to do as humans. Collectively, we hate change. We like having a routine and sticking with what is comfortable, whether that be with work the people we are around, or any other aspect of life. However, learning to accept change and understanding that it can be a good thing is something we must all learn throughout life. I have been going through changes since I’ve came to UWF, and it has been a difficult road. Even with the difficulties, I have finally realized that reaching out of my comfort zone and allowing change to happen rather than fighting it actually makes me better prepared for the next challenge in my life and overall better as a person.
Change is not a one time thing. It will come when you least expect it, when you’re at your highest or your lowest, when you want nothing to do with it or everything to do with it. No matter the scenario, I challenge you all to attempt to accept change as it happens. Not only will it make the transition smoother, but it will help you see things about the situation that you wouldn’t have seen before, since you were too busy worrying about what happens next. Remember that God has a plan and these changes are His hands at work. Be prepared to accept them as they come.
