The power of methane digesters on modern dairy farms

Leah Androski reporter@greenepublishing.com Methane digesters are helping dairy farms everywhere reuse their resources.  The process starts with an anaerobic digester, which is a sealed container where bacteria breaks down cow manure with no oxygen. This causes methane gas to become captured, which is then purified in the machine. Then the renewable natural gas is used to power the farm, fuel vehicles, supply local energy grids, decrease the dependence on fossil fuels and lower greenho
