Chicago’s legendary sketch and improv comedy theater company, The Second City will perform at North Florida Community College’s Van H. Priest Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 as part of the NFCC Artist Series season. The Jan. 22 performance features the troupe’s irresistible new show “The Second City: Fully Loaded” with classic material made famous by Second City stars like Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell, as well as brand new scenes, songs and improv straight from their sold-out shows in Chicago and Toronto.
This must-see evening of comedy features some of Chicago’s best and brightest and will only be in town for one-night only – Friday, Jan. 22. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show begins at 7 p.m. The cast includes comedians Alison Gates, Andrew Knox, Adam Peaock, Maria Randazzo, Liz Reuss and John Thibodeaux.
Fresh, fast and always spectacularly funny, The Second City is celebrating 55 years of producing cutting-edge satirical revues and continues to launch the careers of comedy superstars. The Chicago-based theater, which opened in December 1959, has sparked the careers of famous performers such as Bill Murray, Amy Poehler, Chris Farley and Mike Myers and its alumni continue to take the comedy world by storm.
Tickets for “The Second City: Fully Loaded” Jan. 22 performance at NFCC are on sale now. Tickets are $15 adults and $8 NFCC students; they can be purchased at the NFCC College Advancement Office or by calling (850) 973-1653. Limited tickets may also be available at the door the night of the performance.
