A new real estate firm here in Madison County, Thigpen & Associates, LLC, held its grand opening on Friday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Citizens gathered at 673A East Base Street on Oct. 28 to welcome and encourage Bryant Thigpen as he started his new business.
Steve Brooks, pastor of First Newark Baptist Church in Thomasville, Ga., kicked off the grand opening ceremony as he said an opening prayer and introduced the first guest speaker, Madison County Supervisor of Elections Tommy Hardee. Hardee spoke of his and Thigpen’s friendship and of what an honorable man Thigpen is. Hardee expressed he has no doubt that Thigpen’s business will succeed because he has placed God first in his business and most importantly in his life.
Next, Brooks introduced the second speaker, Robbie Harrington, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Lake Park, Ga. Harrington also had upstanding words to say when it came to Thigpen and his family. He went on to say Thigpen & Associates, LLC was a dream of Bryant and Stephanie’s and how proud Stephanie is of him right now as she watches him from Heaven. Harrington then read a passage from the bible, Romans 8:31 which states, What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Harrington’s point being, Thigpen has gone through many trials and tribulations lately but even after all that, Thigpen still loves his Father and puts Him first in everything he does. With God being first in Thigpen’s everyday life and business, there is no doubt He will bless Thigpen, his family and his new business, Thigpen & Associates, LLC.
After Harrington gave a heart-warming short sermon, Brooks came back up to say a closing prayer and then it was time to cut the ribbon. Thigpen’s daughter, Brynlee, had the honor of cutting the grand opening ribbon. After the ribbon was cut, everyone was invited inside to enjoy some light refreshments while door prizes were given away.
Later that day, Singin’ On The Sidewalk took place as the community was invited to come back to Thigpen & Associates, LLC and listen to some gospel music. The event started at 6 p.m. and citizens brought lawn chairs and listened to some great music sung by Amber Abbott and the band LifeSong.
