The Best of Madison Awards Banquet has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. Nominations for the Best of Madison closed on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 5 p.m. However, voting opened on Wednesday, Oct. 11 and will close on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Madison County Chamber of Commerce recognizes outstanding Chamber members, individuals and businesses in the community and the many successes to celebrate within the community with this yearly awards banquet. Awards for Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Best Business in Customer Service Award, Best Individual in Customer Service, Citizen of the Year and Non-Profit of the Year will be given at the Best of Madison awards night.
Small Business of the Year is given to:
A Chamber member for at least 1 year, a business in Madison within county with 25 or less employees, outstanding customer service, demonstrates growth and stability, growth through revenue and creation of jobs and makes positive impact on the community.

The Large Business of the Year Award is given to:
A Chamber member for at least one year, a business in Madison with 26 or more employees, outstanding customer service, demonstrates growth and stability, excellence in community relations and reliability, growth through revenue and creation of jobs, demonstrates economic support of the region and makes positive impact on the community and volunteerism of employee base.
Nominees are: BlueTriton (Nestle), Honey Lake Clinic, J & J Strong, Lake Park of Madison, Madison County Community Bank, Madison County Memorial Hospital, Madison County School District, Madison Veterinary Clinic, Taylor Corporate Identity & Branding and Tri-County Electric Cooperative.
Young Professional of the Year is given to:
Must own or be employed by a Chamber member of at least one year and professional under 35 who has made a positive impact to his or her industry. Maintains a devotion to community service, civic engagement, and economic development.

Nominees are: Bloom Childcare, Bull Pen at the Edge of Town, Madison Coffee Company, Margo’s on Range, The American Dream, The Loft Spa, Turner Heating & Air and Wiggle Butts.
Citizen of the Year is given to:
Resident of Madison County who has made a positive impact and contributed to the community through leadership, community involvement, volunteerism, and overall public service. A Chamber membership is not required.
Nominees are: Alston Kelley, Anna Strange, Beth Fulford, Billie Margraves, Byron Poore, Chris O’Brian, Christi Minor, Devin Thompson, Donnie Waldrep, Dr. John Lewis, George Futch, Ina Thompson, Jason Justus, Jessica Webb, Katie Knight, Kelly Uphold, Meghan Agner, Merv Mattair, Nita Fico, Princess Roebuck, Rebekah Kervin, Sheriff David Harper, Timmy Dyke and William “Bubba” Greene.
Non-Profit of the Year is given to:
Chamber member for at least 1 year. A certified 501(c)3 organization that has proven to be vital in enriching the quality of life of others in the community and a faith based organization or community service and well-being entity.
Nominees are: A Women’s Pregnancy Center, American Legion Post 224- Cherry Lake, Career Source North Florida, Christopher’s Message, Forgotten Coast K9, Healthy Start Coalition, Honey Lake Clinic, Junior Auxiliary of Madison County, Madison Church of God, Madison Lions Club, Second Harvest of the Big Bend, Suwannee Valley Humane Society and United Way of the Big Bend.
Recipients of these awards are nominated and voted on by members of the community and represent the best of the community. Awards are intended for Chamber members reflecting the highest level of professionalism, knowledge, integrity, stewardship to the community and investment in the future of business and growth in Madison.
The Best of Madison’s awards night will be on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Madison Church of God. Tickets are $35 with $30 for six or more tickets. Dressy attire for the Best of Madison’s awards night is recommended.
