From fire trucks to race cars, the first annual Touch A Truck event held on Saturday, April 9 at the Lee City Hall had them all.
Various local municipalities showed up to allow the attending children and adults alike to get up close to the various trucks, cars and semis that are used by those who serve the Madison County community.
Representing the City of Madison Police Department was Captain Tyrone Edwards, who passed out information and goodies to those who visited with the MPD vehicle on display.
Lee Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief Diane Beck brought out the fire trucks and equipment that firefighters use to rescue people from emergency scenarios.
A big hit of the event was the ShandsCair 3 helicopter as it touched down and allowed children to interact with the individuals who operate it.
Semi trucks, law enforcement vehicles, farm equipment, ambulances and power company service trucks also all made appearances.
The Lee Elementary PTO organized the event.
