On Friday, Dec. 2, at approximately 11:40 a.m., a white 2009 Ford four door sedan, driven by Lucie Cherry, 94, of Madison was struck by a grey 2015 Dodge four door sedan, driven by Taylor Hill, 22, of Quitman.
According to a report from the Madison Police Department, Cherry's vehicle was traveling east on W. Base Street when it turned north into Hill's path, causing Hill's right front end to strike Cherry's right rear end. Neither driver was injured. Both vehicles were rendered disabled. Cherry was cited for violation of yield sign.
The reporting officer was Officer Robert Sanders of the Madison Police Department. Madison Fire and Rescue was also on the scene.
