On Wednesday, Nov. 30, Judge Bailey Browning swore in two Madison County elected officials that were unavailable during the swearing in ceremony held on Monday, Nov. 21. Leigh Barfield was sworn in as Madison County Property Appraiser. Billy Washington was sworn in as the Madison County Clerk of Court. His wife Kara, was beside him holding the Bible for the swearing in.
Washington is filling the Madison County Clerk of Court position being vacated by Tim Sanders. Barfield is beginning her fourth term as Madison County Property Appraiser.
