A local pageant is scheduled to help raise funds for the 2017 North Florida Community (NFCC) College Relay for Life event. Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The event is staffed and organized by volunteers in over 5,000 communities across the globe. Volunteers give their time and effort to take action against cancer. All proceeds, excluding entry fees will benefit the NFCC Relay for Life team.
On Sunday, April 23, Danyel Rucker and Renee Williams are holding the Miss Relay for Life Pageant. It will take place at the NFCC auditorium in Madison, and begins at 3 p.m. Divisions for the pageant will include Infant Miss (birth to 12 months), Baby Miss (13 months to 23 months), Toddler Miss (ages two to three), Tiny Miss (ages four to five), Little Miss (ages six to seven), Junior Miss (ages eight to nine), Pre-teen Miss (ages 10 to 12), Teen Miss (ages 13 to 15), and Miss (ages 16 to 21).
Tickets for the event are $5 and there is no charge for children under the age of four. Each division queen will receive a custom crown, sash, and trophy. All contestants will receive a goody bag.
