MCSO Contributor The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports that on Saturday, Jan. 22, at approximately 4:30 a.m., a motorist called to report a dangerous driving situation to the MCSO. While traveling south into Madison on State Road 145, a red Hyundai Sonata, missing a side-view mirror, with a Georgia license plate, was dangerously following the reporting motorist too closely. The motorist provided an opportunity for the Hyundai to pass. After passing the reporting motorist, the Hyundai began to slam on its brakes, attempting to force the motorist to stop. Both vehicles continued traveling, turning west on County Road 150. The Hyundai continued driving recklessly and at one point stopped in the middle of the road, according to the reporting motorist. The motorist called 911 and provided the description of the vehicle along with the partial Georgia license plate. The Hyundai was last seen turning from County Road 150 onto NE Mt. Zion Church Avenue Deputies were dispatched to the area, but the red Hyundai was not located.
