A vehicle was a complete loss after catching on fire on Friday, April 3 at 3:39 p.m. on eastbound I-10 around mile marker 265, near the rest area in Lee. The cause of the fire is undetermined but it started in the engine compartment of the 2004 Nissan Altima. According to the fire report, the driver reported hearing a noise and pulled over. Everyone got out of the vehicle and saw flames. There were four people in the vehicle from Greensboro, Alabama. There were no injuries reported. Madison Fire Rescue and Lee Volunteer Fire Department responded.
