Mr. Waddie Howard "WH" Fletcher, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 5, in Thomasville, Ga. Waddie was born on Oct. 21, 1939, in Greenville, to Joe Howard Fletcher and Tommie Ann Waldrep Fletcher.
Waddie was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Cherry Lake First Baptist Church. He worked as a farmer for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Howard Fletcher and Tommie Ann Fletcher (Waldrep).
Waddie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emogene Fletcher; children: Al Fletcher (Tammy), Jeff Fletcher (Sandy), of Madison, Lea Anne Kalinowski (Mark) of Perry, Fl.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at Cherry Lake First Baptist Cemetery, with Rev. John Newsome and Dr. Murrell Bennett officiating. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, at their residence at 1443 NE Post Road in Madison. All arrangements were under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison
