Some may have noticed a F-15 Eagle model hanging from the ceiling in O’Neals Country Buffet during the time of Veterans Day. That piece of art was created by Peter Walley, of Madison, who has a passion for creating models of all kinds.
Walley began this passion when he was a young boy. He started off doing Snap Tite models, where he would just snap the pieces together. From there, he worked his way up to more advance models that now include painting and glueing the pieces together to create his masterpiece. Walley recalls his first “big project” was creating the USS Constitution, which even included sewing the sails.
Next, the community will see Walley’s artwork in the Popeye’s restaurant. He plans to hang a Southern Belle Paddle Boat in that location soon.
If anyone in the community would like a model of any kind, they should feel free to give Walley a call. He does take custom orders and can create a variety of items, such as cars, boats, planes, etc. To place an order, call (850) 869-0995.
