Mrs. Wanda Tomlinson Selman, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017. She was born on March 17, 1942 in Jacksonville, Fl. to Leon and Nettie Hersey Tomlinson.
Mrs. Selman was a resident of Seagrove Beach. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the Seagrove Baptist Church. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a librarian and as an administrative secretary for the Duval County School District.
Mrs. Selman is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Damon Leon Igou.
Mrs. Selman is survived by her loving husband, Wiley Selman; two sons, Derek Igou (Frances) of Jacksonville, Fl. and Devon Igou (Sasha) of Seagrove Beach, Fl.; daughter-in-law, Janice Igou; one sister, Glenda Jones (Fred) of South Carolina; seven grandchildren: Rhey Igou, David Igou, Dylan Igou, Daniel Igou (Stephanie), Dayne, Drew, and Abigail; and three greatgrandchildren: Deyton, Caitlyn, Anthony.
A time of visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 4 at Seagrove Baptist Church, located at 4915 East County Highway 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Fl.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 4 at Seagrove Baptist Church, with Reverend Mike Thornton officiating.
Pallbearers were Rhey Igou, David Igou, Dylan Igou, Daniel Igou, Dayne Igou, Drew Igou, Derek Igou and Devon Igou.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seagrove Baptist Church Children’s Fund at 4915 East County Highway 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. 32459 or to Emerald Coast Hospice at 200 Grand Boulevard #205, Miramar Beach, Fl. 32550.
Burial followed in the Gulf Cemetery in Santa Rosa Beach.
