Wanted fugitive caught

Rick Patrick  rick@greenepublishing.com The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has announced that during the afternoon hours of Thursday, July 12, a heavy law enforcement presence was noticed near Reagan Way and Reagan Road. A wanted fugitive, Earl John Root, 34, of Lake Park, Ga., was observed running into the nearby woods. Root was being sought with an active felony arrest warrant for grand theft of specified property. K9 Garmr was deployed and tracked Root into a dense thicket. D
