Born to Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Sirmon of Madison, March 27, a baby boy. He weighed 8 lb and 15 oz.
Robert H. Wilson, representative of the Dale Carnegie course, is now working in Madison to form a third Dale Carnegie course. The Madison Jaycees, who successfully sponsored two preceding Dale Carnegie courses here in recent years, are sponsoring this course.
Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Barrs of Cherry Lake announce the arrival of a baby girl Tuesday March 29 at 5 a.m. in a Quitman hospital. The young lady has been named Deborah Rose Barrs and is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Williams of Cherry Lake.

Reffeletta Davis is the new Spelling Bee Champ of Madison County. She will go to the regional contest in Jacksonville, sponsored by the Times-Union.
Madison Academy opened the tennis season Tuesday on the North Florida Junior College Courts with strong teams from Valwood School, in Valdosta, Ga.
Brenda Dale Mercer has been nominated by the faculty of the North Florida Junior College Adult Center- Practical Nursing program for the Student Achievement Award in Health Occupations Education.
