We often tell our children and grandchildren, "Don't worry about (your brother, sister, friend), worry about yourself!"
Guilty!
Sometimes, the child feels left out, sometimes the child does it out of insecurity or rivalry, and sometimes out of concern and love.
As an adult, when we worry about someone, it usually means we care. Sometimes though, adults worry for the same reasons as a child. I have worried about things and people all my life. Most of my worries were unfounded, but all of my worries were because I cared. As I got older, I learned to turn my worries over to God. Worries are heavy, and I am weak and He is strong.
My biggest worry, at this moment, is for my children, grandchildren and for a senior lady that I love and that has always been there for me. This wonderful lady is 245 years old. Her name is America. I don't know what I will do if I lose her. I lost another great lady when I was young. Her name was Cuba. My children and grandchildren never got to know her. I don't want their children and grandchildren not to know the America that I love. I am going to have to turn this worry over to the Almighty, for I am weak, and He is strong. Divided, we are weak ... we must all unite so we can be strong, regardless of who you voted for or the final election results. We are America. Let's not lose ourselves or who we are. The devil loves division. Our time here is but a blink compared to eternity; too much of it is spent worrying instead of loving.
