Mrs. Weta Bailey Johnson, age 78, died on Sunday, April 23, 2017, in Jacksonville, Fl. She was born in Polk County, Fl., and lived in Lee before moving to Jacksonville eight years ago.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Purvis (Timothy) of Jacksonville; three sisters, Peggy Scott, of Jacksonville, Josephine Lane, of Fleming Island, Fl., and Loretta Baxter, of Port St. Joe, Fl.; three grandchildren, Jamie Muyres, of Orange Park, Fl., Timothy Purvis, Jr. of Jacksonville, Matthew Purvis, of Jacksonville; four great-grandchildren, Ryger, Bishop, Maxeen, and Lucy Muyres.
A graveside service was held Friday, April 28, at Blue Springs Primitive Baptist Church, in Lee. Visitation was one hour prior to the service, at the cemetery.
