What to watch: “Lawmen: Bass Reeves”

John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson and Yul Brenner were familiar faces on the big screen, always ready to start a barroom brawl with someone. With such talent setting the standard for me, I’m hard to please when a western-themed flick rides across the screen. The latest production to fill this time-tested genre is “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” currently streaming on Paramount. Before t
