Mr. William Cain Jones, 91, son of the late Emanuel and Emma Jones, was born on December 22, 1923, in Brooks County, Ga. He was preceded in death by brothers: Emanuel Jones and John E. Jones; and sisters: Bertha Glee, Mattie Straughter, Lizzie Horne, Sadie Mae Dixon, Carnettie (Sing) Thomas, Ada Mae Bing and Mary E. Hunter. William Cain, affectionately known as W.C., was raised in a Christian home and later baptized at Sweetfield Missionary Baptist Church in Quitman, Ga. He was called to heaven on Thursday, January 22, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, in Tallahassee. He leaves a loving family to cherish his memories, including: Mary Lee Jones, of Quitman, Ga.; his children: Bertha Hollis, of Quitman, Ga.; Bernard Jones, of Cleveland, Ohio; Norman Jones (Jennie), of Crawfordville, Fl.; and La Grande Aikens (Augustus), of Tallahassee; and a host of loving grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, at 11 a.m., at the Sweetfield Missionary Baptist Church, 6619 Old Madison Hwy., Quitman, Ga., with Pastor James Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, between the hours of 12 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home chapel, 301 E. Green Street, Quitman, Ga.
