William Calvin Wynn passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Feb. 23 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. Calvin was born in Greenville on Nov. 5, 1937. He retired from Centel/Sprint Telephone Company. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, loved to garden, camp in the mountains, attend FSU baseball games and he especially enjoyed spending time with his nine grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sharon Reeves Wynn; daughters: Gayle Wynn (Jody) Dove and Mary Reeves (Dean) Sullivan; son, Bill (Melinda) Wynn; nine grandchildren: Britt Wynn, Bailey Wynn, Madelyn Wynn, Benjamin Wynn, Lawson Dove, Sawyer Dove, Jackson Sullivan, Joshua Sullivan and Justin Sullivan. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Bonnie) Wynn; nieces: Dianne, Bonnie (Mike) and Christy (Bob); and nephew, Richard (Darlene).
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Edwina Wells Wynn; sisters: Lucille Wynn and Shirley Wynn Harraway; and a son, Shanon Reeves.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. in the Immanuel Baptist Church followed with burial at Culley’s MeadowWood Memorial Park.
Friends may call Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home at (850) 877-8191 on Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral home is located at 700 Timberlane Road in Tallahassee, Fl.
