William Fourakres, age 86, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017 at Madison Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home in Madison, Fl., with burial at Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Pinetta, Fl. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born in Echols County, lived in Lowndes County and moved to Pinetta in 1971. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army. He married Patty Crafton on May 29, 1955. Fourakres was also a member of Madison County Farm Bureau and Pinetta Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Fourakres of Pinetta; two daughters: Shirley Kelley (Richie) of Pinetta and Elizabeth F. Hollingsworth (Richard) of Pinetta; one son, William R. Fourakres of Pinetta; one brother, Ichabod Fourakres Jr. of Valdosta, Ga.; three sisters: Dalceda Roberts of Valdosta, Bashie Copeland of Lake Park, and Verdie Mae Agner of Madison; five grandchildren: Jessica Murfin, Christopher Scott Kelley, Dustin Ryan Bell, William Adam Fourakres, and Ashley Elizabeth Bell; and seven great-grandchildren: Liam Fourakres, Ryker Fourakres, Joseph Robert Fourakres, Frankie Nunez, Thunder Kelley, Jolene Kelley, and Benigno Dali Balboa.
He was predeceased by six brothers and sisters: Riley Fourakres, Vashti Touchton, Ruby Morgan, Owen Fourakres, Louella Jackson and Rose Carter.
