William R. (Bill) Housh, 71, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. He died peacefully at his home in Greenville, Fla. He was born January 31, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Mildred Housh (Ruehlman).
Bill honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a maintenance supervisor with Dixie Packers for 25 years. Bill enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved to play golf and enjoyed watching NASCAR in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred Housh (Ruehlman).
Bill is survived by his wife of 12 years, Robin Housh (Snyder); his children: Rusty Housh and Ryan Housh (Laurel); his step children: Keith Tuten (Stacey) and Wendy Dickinson; his siblings: Debbie Richards (Paul), Vickie Dunn, Connie Willis, Kathy Evans, Becky Swanson (George), Julie Sloggett (Scott), Timmy Housh (Cindy), Terry Housh (Helen); his grandchildren: Brayden Housh, Drew Webb, Chloe Dickinson, Chasity Davis, TJ Davis; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 3, at 12 p.m. in the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Donations may be made in his honor to any charity of your choice. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
