Mr. William Wesley Rudd, III, age 54, of Monticello, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in Tallahassee, after a brief illness. He was born on July 5, 1962, in Thomasville, Ga. He lived most of his childhood life in Aucilla, Fl., before moving to Madison. He graduated from Madison High School in 1980, and attended North Florida Junior College. He was a self-employed contractor, and previously worked for the Department of Corrections and Norfolk Southern Railway.
Rudd was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He loved golf, fishing, NASCAR racing, helping others, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Shelby Rudd Hart (Bobby), of Crawfordville; two grandchildren, Johnathan Lee Hart and Timothy Elton Hart; one brother, James Henry Gill (Roberta) of Middleburg, Fl.; sister, Jemille Rudd Townsend (Kevin), of Madison, and many nieces and nephews. Rudd was preceded in death by his parents, William Wesley Rudd, Jr (Willie) and Alice Matthews McRae; and one brother, Richard Benjamin Rudd.
A graveside Service to honor Wesley’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 29, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Madison.
