City of Madison Police Department was dispatched to a wreck at the intersection of SW Pinckney Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive at 8:15 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 5. According to the police report, Scznie Anneise Williams, 29, of Tallahassee was traveling east on SW Pinckney Street and failed to stop at the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection. Williams' front right tire of her 2008 Toyota Yaris struck the left front corner of a 2006 Chrysler 300 driven by Shanieka Latoya Bell, 24, of Madison. Bell was traveling north on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive when struck. Both vehicles traveled towards the northeast corner of the intersections. Williams’ vehicle jumped the curb and struck a masonry brick wall before coming to a stop. Bell’s vehicle bounced off the curb and changed directions, traveling towards the south side of Pinckney Street and jumped the curb before coming to a final rest. Williams and her passenger, Eleanor Evans, of Madison were transported to South Georgia Medical Center for injuries. Bell and her passenger, Anthony Peterson, of Quitman, Ga. were transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital for injuries. Williams was charged with failure to stop at stop sign.
