At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, two vehicles collided in north Madison County after a failure to yield right of way.
According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), William Gray, 77 and Jackson Gray, nine, both of Madison, were traveling eastbound on Hwy. 150. Bryan Ledbetter, 52 of Aloha, Or., was traveling northbound on CR 591. Ledbetter proceeded to turn but failed to yield to Gray's oncoming vehicle, which had the right of way. The front of Gray's 2010 Ford F150 collided with the left side of Ledbetter's vehicle. Upon impact, Ledbetter traveled onto the east shoulder of CR 591, coming to a final rest, facing north. Gray's vehicle rotated counter-clockwise and came to a final rest on the east shoulder of CR 591, facing west.
William Gray and Ledbetter were transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital (MCMH) with serious injuries. Jackson Gray was also transported to MCMH with only minor injuries. Ledbetter was charged with failure to yield right of way.
